Bantam Studios is the home of "Booze Violin and Booze Guitar", low-cost group violin and group guitar classes and lessons for adult beginners.

Founded in 2012 by Ginger Dolden and Pete Lanctot, Bantam Studios is a haven for a cross collaboration of Music, Graphic Arts, Creative Consulting and Music Education.

Spring 2017 Booze Lessons

Join Bantam Studios for our Spring 2017 Semester starting Sunday April 23, 2017.  Classes will run for 8 weeks and end with a recital at Littlefield on Sunday June 25th. There will be no classes over Memorial Day Weekend. This spring semester we will be running our first ever Booze Cello classes, taught by Caleigh Drane. 

Registration Deadline:

Register by April 14, 2017 if you need a rental instrument.

Register by April 21, 2017 if you are providing your own instrument.

Violin Advanced I - III

Our three levels of Advanced classes are designed for students who have completed Intermediate or have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of violin technique and a basic sight reading ability. Each semester of Advanced focuses on developing one or two advanced violin techniques. Advanced has focused on techniques including improvisation, playing chamber music with independent parts, vibrato, and shifting. Repertoire for advanced will change from semester to semester.

Advanced I students should have a basic knowledge of sight reading on violin and be comfortable playing on all four strings.

Advanced II students should be comfortable with sight reading music, and full mastery of first position on all four strings.

Advanced III students should be comfortable with sight reading music, and full mastery of first position on all four strings and can improvise and shift into third position.
