Bantam Studios Violin Program

The Bantam Studios violin program is designed for adults who are curious about the instrument, whether you are starting from scratch or returning after years away. Over time, students learn to build solid technique, develop a clear and confident tone, and move comfortably around the fingerboard. Classes focus on listening, ensemble playing, and musicality alongside fundamentals like intonation and bow control.

As the program progresses, students explore repertoire, improvisation, and group playing with their classmates. The full sequence is designed to support students as they grow into confident players who can participate in beginner classical ensembles, chamber groups, or informal jam sessions.

Bantam Studios Guitar Program

The Bantam Studios guitar program welcomes adults at every stage, including those picking up the instrument for the first time. Students learn the skills needed to play songs with confidence, read lead sheets, and understand how chords and progressions work in real music. Technique is taught alongside rhythm, listening, and repertoire so that learning stays practical and musical from the start.

As students advance, they develop their own repertoire, strengthen their picking and strumming, and begin improvising and playing with others. The full program prepares students to participate in the Bantam Studios Folk Jam and other group playing opportunities.

Bantam Studios Ensemble Program

The ensemble program gives students the chance to make music with others in a supportive, level-appropriate setting. Playing in an ensemble helps students develop listening skills, timing, confidence, and the ability to respond musically in real time.

Ensembles are open to multiple instruments and are designed to grow with the group, offering a bridge between classroom learning and real-world playing experiences. For many students, ensemble work becomes the most joyful and motivating part of their musical practice.
